What we need from you

We invite the Youth OUTLOUD! membership to help us make this the best media cooperative in the world by doing the following:

  • Submit 1- 3 of your BEST youth-created stories (with photos if possible) that meet our editorial guidelines. We want the most compelling, relevant and true-to-life stories you have.
  • Let us know if you are interested in serving on our editorial advisory board.
  • Let us know why you have joined and how we can best serve your needs.
  • Encourage other media, youth and non-profit organizations to join Youth OUTLOUD!

GROUND RULES

Youth OUTLOUD! was created in the spirit of creating a community with a common goal… to promote and support youth expression in the media. By setting up a co-operative (co-op) all members are equal and share in the running of the organization. Youth OUTLOUD! also has created a revenue sharing model to ensure youth media continues to grow, while encouraging members to submit their best stories in exchange for payment from other members who wish to use the stories.

We have set up ground rules to encourage honesty and sense of community:

  • Members may use the site for research and story ideas.
  • Members must pay for all stories downloaded or copied.
  • All stories must adhere to editorial guidelines.
